Platter, a NYC-based ecommerce technology startup, raised $1.6M in a pre-seed funding.

The round was led by Animal Capital, with participation from Visionary Ventures, Ben Jabbawy, Kyle Hency, Aaron Spivak, Pierson Krass and others.

The company intends to use the funds to expand operations and its business reach, as well as to develop solutions for decision-makers across functions, from procurement to finance.

Founded in 2021 by Ben Sharf, Kieran Derfus, and Michael Keenehan, Platter is a software company dedicated to helping brands on Shopify create high-converting storefronts that maximize profit. With solutions like the newly launched Platter+ app, it enables brands to boost revenue through optimized shopping experiences while reducing operational costs and complexity.

Platter’s suite currently powers over 150 ecommerce brands.
