Anyware Robotics, a Fremont, CA-based company which specializes in multi-purpose mobile robotics, raised $12M in Seed funding.
The round was led by GFT Ventures, with participation from Foothill Ventures, Black Forest Ventures, Alumni Ventures, and other investors.
The company intends to use the funds to expand operations and its development efforts.
Led by CEO Thomas Tang, Anyware Robotics develops multi-purpose mobile robots, equipped with embodied intelligence, to enhance operations in labor-intensive industries. Pixmo, its first robot, will initially focus on unloading boxes from containers and trucks in a safe way. The company has deployed the robot with multiple 3PLs, with a focus on clients who process large volumes of ocean containers. Built for adaptability, Pixmo’s capabilities will expand with future software updates, enabling mobile palletizing, depalletizing, box picking, and truck loading.
